Biography
Kala Taylor was raised in Atlanta, Georgia and enjoyed her college time in Valdosta where she earned a B.S K-12 Education and a M.Ed in Curriculum & Instruction from Valdosta State University.
She has spent most her career as an accomplished K-12 educator for Fulton and Dekalb County School Districts. Kala has always been a teacher that had a go with the flow instructional method that continuously catered to each and every learner. Often described by friends and colleagues as “proactive," “upbeat," “impactful," “outgoing,” and “resourceful. She lives by the mantra of “Live your life to the fullest” which has led her to experience many opportunities in life and has brought her to work with a dynamic team at Georgia Tech.
When not working with the Georgia Tech community, Kala is spending quality time with her family and close friends. Some of her favorite things to do are going random traveling excursions out the country, listening to music, home décor projects, and trying new restaurants in and around the city!
